BILLOREILLY.COM OFFICIAL "News Mystery" CONTEST RULES
1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR RECEIVE A PRIZE. A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
2. CONTEST ENTRANTS AND PRIZE RECIPIENTS MUST BE LEGAL U.S. RESIDENTS AND AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD AT TIME OF ENTRY TO BE ELIGIBLE. VOID IN PUERTO RICO, OUTSIDE THE U.S. AND WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW. Employees of BillOReilly.com, its affiliates, and the immediate family members of each are not eligible. Sweepstakes subject to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
3. HERE'S HOW TO ENTER: Enter your name, email address, city & state in the boxes on this page. Identify the news mystery with the clues provided and type the answer in the appropriate box. Limit one entry per person or E-mail address per week. Multiple or duplicate entries will be disqualified. BillOReilly.com is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, misaddressed, or otherwise misdirected entries that are processed late or incorrectly or are lost due to computer or electronic malfunction or other error.
4. WINNER SELECTION: The first correct eligible entry received for each week's contest is the winner. Decisions of the judges are final and binding on all matters relating to the Contest. Winners must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. Winners will be notified by email (and phone if phone number is provided). If a winner does not respond within 3 business days of notification and cannot be contacted within 1 business day, an alternate winner may be selected from all remaining eligible entries.
5. PRIZES: Signed copy of "Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity" by Bill O'Reilly, American Patriot coffee mug, Bold Fresh travel mug, "The Factor" baseball cap, "No Spin Zone" doormat, "Spin Stops Here" pen, & the "Bold Fresh Tour" bag. Prize Winners must provide a valid shipping address or an alternate winner may be selected. Prize Winner is solely responsible for any expenses not expressly included in the prize description, such as all federal, state, and local taxes on prizes. No substitution, assignment, redemption for cash, or transfer of any prize permitted except at Sponsors' sole discretion. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Sponsors shall not be responsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitutions or any acts or omissions whatsoever by the prize manufacturer or shipping agents.
6. CLAIMING PRIZES/RELEASES: Eligibility, age, and claim by Prize Winners are subject to verification. Winners will be notified by email (and phone if number provided). Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized email account holder. Sponsors are not responsible for fraudulent calls or E-mails made to entrants not by Sponsors. Potential Prize Winner must sign and return a Liability and Publicity Release Form. Release Forms must be returned within five (5) business days of receipt. Non-compliance may result in disqualification and the prize will be awarded to an alternate Prize Winner in a random drawing from among all remaining entries.
7. INTERNET: If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsors which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsors reserve the right at their sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. The Sponsors assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsors are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any E-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsors due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this Sweepstakes. This contest will be governed by the internal laws of the State of New York. Any and all legal actions or claims arising in connection with this Contest must be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in New York City.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE CONTEST. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING ATTORNEY FEES) TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.
In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an E-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the E-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person 18 years of age or older who is assigned to an E-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning E-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted E-mail address.
8. GENERAL: By entering this sweepstakes, entrants and Prize Winners: (1) agree to be bound by these rules; (2) agree to release Sponsors and their parent companies, Sponsor related entities; affiliates; subsidiaries; advertising and promotion fulfillment and/or judging agencies from all liability, claims, action or proceedings related to the contest and from injuries or damages relating to acceptance or use of the prize; and (3) Except where prohibited, participation in the contest constitutes consent to the use of winner's name, voice, biographical information, hometown, state, opinions, picture and likenesses for advertising and promotional purposes in any medium throughout the world in perpetuity without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. |
